PLUM

PLUM is a homewares and furniture outlet founded by artist Tom Witherick in early 2020. A great lover of design and always on the lookout for an opportunity to get his hands dirty Tom decided to his creative and practical skills gained from a career in art making to the designing and making of functional objects and homeware. PLUM features an eclectic mix of everyday ‘basics’, designed to sit comfortably in any home alongside more elaborate one of pieces made to be cherished as unique objects. Through a materially led process objects are designed and made from the ground up – letting the properties, origins or feel of a material or form of making influence the design process. As a result of this care and attention to detail given to material and process all the products made by PLUM carry a sense of authenticity and longevity within them as finished objects.
